The Government Service Center Branch of the Optics Valley Book Room officially opened to the public on Oct 23 in the government service center of the East Lake High-tech Development Zone (also known as Optics Valley of China, or OVC).
With an area exceeding 100 square meters, the new branch houses over 5,000 books, providing a delicate and immersive reading space for residents dealing with government affairs at the center.
The branch includes books on history, literature, science and technology, life, and fairy tales, as well as biographies. They are all provided by the Hubei Provincial Library, and can be borrowed or returned at both places.
The Optics Valley Book Room is a public service platform for the 12-minute reading circle in the valley. So far, six branches of the book room have been put into use.
