During the eight-day Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day holidays, some of Guiyang's key projects remained under construction.
The Intelligent Manufacturing Industrial Park project in Guanshanhu district has received a total investment of 1.27 billion yuan ($173.46 million) and involves the construction of 32 buildings, including factories, research and development facilities, and other supporting buildings, with a total construction area of approximately 227,900 square meters.
"Three quarters of overall construction work has been completed, with 26 buildings having already been topped off, and some of the buildings have been completed with interior finishing," said Liu Feipeng, the person in charge of the project.
During the holidays, there were approximately 400 personnel, including management and construction workers, working diligently to meet the project's schedule.
"Both progress and safety are of great importance," he added, "Anyone entering the construction site must wear reflective vests and helmets."
Meanwhile, on the east side of the former Dongjiao Water Plant in Wudang district, construction is progressing rapidly for the new water plant and its related facilities – the Wangjiadajing emergency alternative project for the water source.
After more than 700 days of hard work, on Sept 28, the main body of the Wangjiadajing project was successfully completed.
During the holidays, the project officially entered the equipment installation and interior decoration stage to ensure the project's handover target by the end of the year.
Once completed, its daily water supply capacity will reach 200,000 cubic meters, supplying water for approximately 840,000 Guiyang residents.
