Border inspection police at Jinan Yaoqiang International Airport took less than 10 minutes to complete immigration clearance for five crew members of Flight 3V811 from Liège, Belgium on Oct 21.
This speedy clearance was made possible by the efforts of the Jinan Immigration Inspection Agency to support the construction of the "Air Silk Road" in Jinan.
The efforts include implementing 30 measures for the high-quality development of service, formulating six measures to serve the construction of a "strong provincial capital", and establishing an integrated clearance mode for cargo aircraft and crew members.
As a result of these efforts, the total import and export value between Jinan and countries and regions involved in the Belt and Road Initiative exceeded 101.9 billion yuan (13.95 billion) in the first half of this year.
As the BRI continues to expand, the Jinan border inspection station will be bolstering efforts to serve and guarantee major international exchanges. They have to date issued the guidelines for major service guarantees, and efficiently completed customs clearance tasks for events such as the China-Central Asia Summit, East Asia Expo, China-Germany (Europe) Business Exchange and Cooperation Conference, and International Youth Exchange Conference.
