Starting Oct 11, a daily train service connecting Beijing and Hangzhou West Railway Station will be available, taking approximately 4.5 hours on average to complete the journey.

"The high-speed train service holds special significance for the Cloud City, providing a convenient and comfortable route for industrial and commercial cooperation, tourism, and family and friend visits," said a director from the Hangzhou Cloud City Construction and Management Group.

Located in the heartland of the Hangzhou Chengxi Sci-tech Innovation Corridor, the Cloud City showcases the corridor's achievements of high-quality integrated development. It is now accelerating the construction of headquarters buildings, scientific and technological innovation platforms, and urban infrastructure.

The new high-speed rail service will expedite the flow of resources such as talent, information, and capital, inject energy into the city, and support the creation of a hub for the comprehensive national scientific center within the Hangzhou Chengxi Sci-tech Innovation Corridor.

In the future, the Hangzhou West Railway Station is expected to become a major transportation hub and handle an even higher flow of passengers.

According to the station's management committee, high-speed rail lines connecting eastward to Shanghai, westward to Lin'an and Wuhan, and southward to Wenzhou are all scheduled to be integrated into the station. It is expected to emerge as Hangzhou's third major transportation hub, following Hangzhou East Railway Station and Hangzhou International Airport.

The Hangzhou West Railway Station opened its doors to passengers in September last year.
