Norway-based medical device manufacturer Laerdal Group celebrated the 20th anniversary of its presence in Suzhou New District, East China's Jiangsu province, on Oct 19.
Twenty years ago, Laerdal built a subsidiary Laerdal Medical (Suzhou) Co in the district to be engaged in the R&D, production, and sale of nearly 60 life-saving products, including cardiopulmonary resuscitators.
The Suzhou subsidiary has become Laerdal's manufacturing and R&D base in China and provides top-notch services to global clients.
The Norwegian Consul General in Shanghai Lise Nordgaard said at the celebration that SND has always supported Norwegian enterprises in Suzhou and that she hopes that Laerdal will continue playing its roles in improving healthcare.
Alf-Christian Dybdahl, CEO of Laerdal Group, thanked SND for its long-term support. He noted that the Suzhou subsidiary is an important part of the group's global layout and that he is confident of the company's development.
He will also support it in introducing more resources, emphasizing R&D, and expanding markets, Dybdahl added.
SND in recent years has practiced innovation-driven development and advanced the transformation and upgrading of foreign-invested businesses. Currently, it owns nearly 2,000 foreign-invested enterprises, making it a hotspot for investment.
