The city of Hohhot, capital of North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region, was recently ranked 15th among the Top 20 Chinese Cities in Computing Power.
That's according to a list which was released during an event organized by the Hunan Provincial People's Government and the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology.
During the event, the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology released the 2023 China Computing Power Index White Paper.
Using the evaluation method of China's computing power development index 2.0, the overall development level of computing power in the country, as well as in various provinces and cities was objectively assessed from five dimensions – computing power scale, computing power industry, computing power technology, computing power environment and computing power applications.
By analyzing indicators such as the scale of computing power infrastructure, technological development and industry applications, the computing power development index of each city was calculated, revealing the Top 20 Chinese Cities in Computing Power for the first time.
The recognition is widely said to highlight Hohhot's significant contributions and achievements in the field of computing power development.
It is also said to showcase the city's efforts in establishing robust computing power infrastructure, promoting technological advancements and fostering a favorable environment for computing power industry growth.
As Hohhot continues to enhance its computing power capabilities, it is moving to solidify its position as a key player in China's digital landscape and to contribute to the nation's overall technological advancement.
