Xi'an, capital of Northwest China's Shaanxi province, launched an observation event on its key projects in the third quarter of this year on Oct 16-17.
During the event, 25 projects were involved, with a total investment of 46.73 billion yuan ($6.4 billion) and an annual planned investment of 13.28 billion yuan.
Among them, 12 projects are related to advanced manufacturing and innovation capacity enhancement, four are involved in the service industry, four involve cultural tourism and five involve people's livelihoods and smart platform development.
One of the projects – the XD smart industrial base project – located in the Xi'an High-tech Industries Development Zone, will mainly focus on industries related to precision mechanical processing, advanced lightning arresters, advanced capacitors, intelligent sensors, and advanced optical cables.
It is expected to achieve an annual output value of over 10 billion yuan and create more than 5,000 jobs.
The new energy vehicle (NEV) electronics industrial base project in Huyi district will mainly serve enterprises involved in NEV electronics, automotive interior parts, and the automotive aftermarket, as well as supporting facilities.
After entering full production, it is expected to achieve an annual output value of 1.2 billion yuan, creating more than 2,000 jobs and gradually forming a complete automotive industrial chain.
The Hyatt Hotel project in Chanba Ecological District offers 309 guest rooms and a banquet hall that can accommodate 1,000 people, providing high-quality accommodation, dining, and one-stop conference services. It is expected to be completed and begin operating in the second half of 2024.
It will help improve regional exhibition supporting facilities and promote the development of the city's boutique tourism market.
