The finals of the 12th China Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition's Sand Industry Professional Competition were held in Alshaa League, North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region, on Oct 14.
Twelve teams from around the country vied for top honors, giving roadshows on their respective project's product technology, market prospects, and investment value.
One project from Alshaa League won second place in the Growing Enterprises Group, another won third place in the Growing Enterprises Group, and yet another finished third in the Startup Enterprises Group.
"China-Alshaa 3D Sand Printing Desert Ecological Cultural and Tourism City," a project conceived by Inner Mongolia Yanhua Technology Development Co, impressed both the judges and the audience.
Cui Xu, the company's creative director, gave a detailed introduction about the project at an exciting roadshow. The project converts sand into 3D printing materials through filtering, washing, blowing, and coloration, and then uses a 3D printer for over 2,000 layers of printing, turning the sand into valuable cultural and industrial 3D sand products.
"This is my first time participating in the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition. I want to help empower the sand industry through technology and turn our Alshaa sand into something more valuable, by designing more valuable cultural and creative products," said Cui.
Alshaa has hosted three sessions of the Sand Industry Competition. Its elevation to a national-level event showcases China's commitment to driving innovation in the sand industry.
