Farmers in Pandao village of Xiangfen county, Shanxi province have welcomed the harvest season for their red sorghum.

They are busy harvesting in the fields as the branches of sorghum bend and shine under the sunlight, forming a unique landscape that declares a bountiful harvest.

Local farmers are taking advantage of the good weather to carry out a series of tasks including harvesting, drying, and selling sorghum in batches based on their maturity.

In recent years, the county has developed its agricultural specialty plantation industries.
