The Quehua Yanyu Ecological Demonstration Park in suburban Jinan has embarked on a new development model for rural vitalization.
In 2019, the park responded to the policies of rural vitalization, ecological protection and high-quality development in the Yellow River Basin, and began to develop a characteristic economy based on ecological camping and modern agriculture.
It has a total of 53.3 hectares of agricultural product planting areas, 4.67 hectares of aquaculture areas, and 4 hectares of camping and leisure areas, attracting visitors from near and far.
The park, once a small underdeveloped village at the foot of Queshan Mountain, offers services for camping, wedding photography, fruit and vegetable picking, sightseeing and dining. Thanks to the improved ecology of the Yellow River and the booming outdoor economy, it has embarked on a different development path.
"The ecology and scenery here are good, which attracts many people to visit for leisure and camping," said Zhang Xing, a steward at the park.
"We plan to expand the camping area and further enrich the agricultural products to attract more people to enjoy the scenery of Queshan Mountain and the ecology of the Yellow River, and experience the customs of the villages along the Yellow River."
