Yan Sanyuan, a blind masseuse and founder of Wuxi Well Relaxed Blind Massage Co Ltd of Xinwu district, Wuxi, was recently selected as a torchbearer for the 4th Asian Para Games which are set to take place from Oct 22 to 28 in Hangzhou, Zhejiang province.
Yan lost her sight at the age of 19 but did not let this setback define her life. Instead, she worked hard to master the art of massage therapy and opened Well Relaxed, Wuxi's first blind massage therapy center in 2020. Over the years, the center has evolved into a comprehensive healthcare institution with 10 direct stores and over 360 employees, more than 70 percent of whom are visually impaired.
