As a premier stage for world commerce, the 134th China Import and Export Fair (Canton Fair) is set to run from Oct 15 to Nov 4 in Guangzhou. This year's fair highlights are eagerly anticipated by the global business community.
This edition of the Canton Fair has expanded its exhibition area to an impressive 1.55 million square meters, with the number of exhibition zones increasing to 55, showcasing a broader spectrum of industries. Notably, nearly 5,000 enterprises will be making their debut at the fair this year, ready to present approximately 680,000 new products, many of which are related to advanced technologies.
In a bid to encourage and facilitate international buyers, the Canton Fair has initiated a "Green Channel" policy in collaboration with several airlines to offer ticket discounts to fair attendees. Moreover, starting from Oct 12, a round-the-clock certification service will be available, ensuring further convenience for overseas buyers.
In terms of online services, this edition has undergone a comprehensive upgrade, seamlessly integrating online and offline services. Features like pre-matchmaking and pre-connecting services have been introduced to enhance the efficiency of the fair. To foster interactions between exhibitors and buyers, the fair has also organized a plethora of industry forums and trade promotion events.
For first-time overseas buyers that plan to attend the Canton Fair, officials have emphasized the necessity of holding valid buyer credentials for entry and recommend early online pre-registration to avoid long queues onsite.
