Suzhou New District in East China's Jiangsu province received about 820,000 tourists over the eight-day combined Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day holiday, which ended on Oct 6 this year.
The figure represents a 4.21 percent increase from 2022 and 140 percent increase from 2019.
Forty percent of the visitors came from Suzhou and 30 percent were from other cities in Jiangsu.

To celebrate the festive days, attractions in the SND organized various activities.
Suzhou Amusement Land Forest World attracted 114,000 tourists with Chinese-style activities, float parades, and band performances, while the Chinese culture-themed festival at Baimajian Longchi scenic area drew over 70,000 tourists, and the Chinese Embroidery Art Museum greeted more than 40,000 visitors with exquisite emborideries.
Shushan village in the SND entertained nearly 50,000 tourists with its beautiful landscape and complete facilities.
