The Optics Valley-Luxiang Alley business district, located in the East Lake High-tech Development Zone (also known as Optics Valley of China, or OVC), was among China's top five most popular business districts during the eight-day holiday spanning the National Day holiday and the Mid-Autumn Festival.
Statistics show that during this period, the business district received 2.87 million tourists.
The fourth Optics Valley Finery Festival kicked off during the golden week, attended by lovers of hanfu – a traditional Chinese style of clothing.

Wuhan Joy City rolled out sales promotions, exhibitions, parades and catwalk shows, luring 750,000 tourists, up 64.5 percent compared with the same period last year, and achieving 45 million yuan ($6.27 million) in sales.

Additionally, the valley's art exhibitions, museums, libraries, zoos and parks all gained traction during the holiday. For example, Wuhan Jiufeng Forest Zoo was visited by 80,000 people, an increase of 30 percent.
