Quzhou athlete Liu Yi won gold in the 87kg category in the 19th Hangzhou Asian Games women's kurash on Oct 2, defeating her Iranian opponent. This is the second gold medal won by a Quzhou athlete at the Asian Games.

On Oct 1, in the 70kg category in the 19th Hangzhou Asian Games women's kurash, Chinese athlete Yu Dan won the championship, becoming the first Quzhou athlete to win a gold medal at this year’s Asian Games. It was also the first gold medal for the Chinese delegation in the kurash event at the Asian Games.
