Zhoushan in East China's Zhejiang province saw a significant increase in tourism over the Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day holiday.
From Sept 29 to Oct 6, the eight-day holiday saw both Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day celebrations.
According to data from local tourism authorities, the city's Zhujiajian scenic spot and Putuo Mountain scenic area welcomed 688,600 visitors during the holiday, representing a year-on-year increase of 58.5 percent.
Stunning sea views in Daishan and Shengsi counties were among the top tourist destinations.
A total of 627,300 vehicles entered or left Zhoushan during the holiday.
