WND enhances business ties during trade mission to Germany, Italy

From Sept 17 to 23, a delegation from Wuxi New District embarked on a trade and investment promotion mission to Germany and Italy, actively engaging in exchanges with key multinational enterprises to further enhance bilateral cooperation.

During the visit, the delegation hosted two investment promotion events, visited over 10 corporate headquarters, important institutions, and research institutes, and held discussions with more than 50 local enterprises. Agreements on three advanced manufacturing projects with a total investment of 600 million euros were signed.

One project funded by Siemens is the group's third intelligent digital factory in China, which will also serve as its first digital low-carbon demonstration factory in the country. Siemens was one of the first and largest foreign investors in WND, with its operations in the district spanning areas such as medium and low-voltage power distribution equipment, medical devices, and automated engineering technology.

Additionally, the delegation secured agreements for five entirely new projects worth 300 million euros. These projects involve the fields of biomedicine, auto part testing platforms, and cross-border e-commerce.

The fruitful trip to Germany and Italy reflects WND's commitment to fostering international cooperation, attracting foreign investment, and advancing economic development. These new partnerships and investments are expected to contribute to the growth of the local economy.
