During the China International Digital Economy Expo 2023 held in North China's Hebei province on Sept 6-8, the 2023 ranking of the top 100 digital cities in China and the 2023 research report on China's digital city competitiveness were officially unveiled on Sept 6.
Guiyang in Southwest China's Guizhou province secured the 24th position among the 2023 top 100 digital cities in China and the 22nd position among the 2023 top 100 cities in China for digital economic development.
As the core areas of the first national comprehensive big data pilot zone, Guiyang City and Guian New Area have been focusing on the development of the electronic information manufacturing industry and the software and information technology service industry.
Through initiatives such as the "transformation of 1,000 enterprises" and the "big data integration of 10,000 enterprises", Guiyang and Guian have facilitated deep integration between big data and the real economy, as well as social governance.
In 2022, Guiyang and Guian implemented 300 big data integration demonstration projects, helped more than 600 entities realize integration with big data, and achieved an integration index of 53.
So far, Guiyang and Guian have attracted a total of 18 data centers, with seven in operation, five under construction, and six contracted for future development.
Additionally, three supporting projects, including one hub center, one computing cluster, and one super interconnection project, have been established, with a planned total investment of 100 billion yuan and a target of 450,000 standard body frames.
Guiyang and Guian's network capabilities have achieved a latency of 3 milliseconds within the province, 6 milliseconds to Chengdu and Chongqing, 10 milliseconds to the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, 16 milliseconds to the Yangtze River Delta, and 18 milliseconds to the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region.
Guiyang and Guian achieved an industrial output value of 16.9 billion yuan in the electronic information manufacturing industry, a year-on-year growth of 19.5 percent, in the first seven months of 2023.
Guiyang and Guian's revenue from software and services reached 43 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 16.3 percent in the first seven months of 2023.
