The city of Ordos in North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region has been listed as one of the happiest places for entrepreneurs to invest in 2023.
A total of 20 Chinese cities and districts made the list, which was unveiled during the Entrepreneurs' Happiness Dialogue held in the city of Taicang in East China's Jiangsu province on Sept 19.
The happiest cities at the prefectural level or above are Ordos, Ningbo, Chengdu, Suzhou, Hangzhou, Qingdao, Hefei, Changsha, Wenzhou and Taizhou. Another 10 county-level cities and urban districts were also selected as the happiest places for entrepreneurs.

The list was compiled by Oriental Outlook magazine, run by Xinhua News Agency, based on a survey and a process that involved big data collection, online questionnaires, field research and panel discussions.
This recognition reflects the continued enhancement of the "Warm City" brand and is a testament to Ordos' continual efforts to provide an empowering business environment, a result of ongoing developments in soft power domains.
