Wuxi leads Jiangsu in listed top 500 Chinese businesses

Wuxi in East China's Jiangsu province leads the province in the number of top 500 Chinese businesses, manufacturers, and service providers, according to the rankings recently published by the China Enterprise Confederation and the China Entrepreneur Association.

Thirteen, 24, and 17 Wuxi enterprises have respectively made the list in those categories, collectively accounting for 38.6 percent of the listed companies in Jiangsu.

The 13 top Chinese businesses in Wuxi had a combined operating revenue of 989.83 billion yuan ($136.05 billion) in 2022, accounting for 43.7 percent of the operating revenue of local businesses above designated size.

Heilan Group and Jiangsu Xin Chang Jiang Group occupied the second and third place respectively and Jiangsu Huahong Industrial Group climbed five spots to the eighth place from last year.

Yangzijiang Shipbuilding Group appeared on the list of top 500 Chinese businesses for the first time and HOYUAN Green Energy Co also made the list of top 500 Chinese manufacturing businesses for the first time.

The total operating revenue of the top 500 Chinese businesses stood at 108.36 trillion yuan last year and their total assets were valued at 399.77 trillion yuan, up 5.74 percent and 7.31 percent from the previous year's counterparts.
