Xi'an, capital of Northwest China's Shaanxi province, is showcasing its agricultural products at the 30th China Yangling Agri Hi-Tech Fair (CAF) currently being held in the Yangling Agricultural High-tech Industry Demonstration Zone in Xianyang city on Sept 19-23.
This year's CAF has attracted more than 1,500 companies and institutions from 50 countries and regions, showcasing new concepts, achievements, equipment, applications, and models of agricultural science and technologies.
Themed on food security and technological empowerment, the Xi'an exhibition area features 34 varieties of outstanding new agricultural products, including Lintong pomegranates, Zhouzhi kiwi fruit, and Baqiao cherries.
Attention-grabbing agricultural technologies are also on display. Intelligent unmanned agricultural vehicles, intelligent agricultural robots, micro proton agricultural irrigation water processors, and the soon-to-be-released Xi'an Smart Agricultural Situation Supervision Platform all demonstrate the development of modern agriculture in Xi'an.
So far, Xi'an has cultivated 34 nationally renowned special and excellent new agricultural products, and established 92 high-quality agricultural production bases.
It can produce 56,656.82 metric tons of high-quality agricultural products annually, generating sales revenue of 642.45 million yuan ($88.3 million).
In addition, Xi'an has made efforts to promote the integration of agriculture, culture, and tourism. In the first half of this year, the city released 20 boutique rural tourism routes.
