The 14th China-Mongolia Media Forum was held in Ulaanqab city, North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region, on Sept 18.

The forum, co-hosted by the All-China Journalists Association and the Confederation of Mongolian Journalists, and organized by the Information Office of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Regional People's Government, ran under the theme "The Power of Media: Modernization and Common Development".

Over 150 media representatives from both countries attended, with 14 speakers presenting on various topics.

The two sides’ journalists associations also renewed their agreement on news exchange and cooperation under the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI).

During the forum, Liu Siyang, vice chairman of the All-China Journalists Association, pointed out that this year marks the 10th anniversary of the BRI.

Over the past decade, China and Mongolia have respected each other, sought common development, and achieved fruitful results through frequent high-level interactions and continuous people-to-people exchanges.

It is hoped the media in both countries will play a more positive role in serving modern development, promoting friendly cooperation between China and Mongolia, and benefiting both countries and peoples.

Otgonbaatar. U, president of the Confederation of Mongolian Journalists, said China and Mongolia are friendly neighbors connected by rivers and mountains. Cooperation between their respective media has seen progress made year after year, deepening that friendship.

Through this forum, practical cooperation in various fields will be further strengthened, making positive contributions to the aforementioned friendly ties.

Since its establishment in 2010, the China-Mongolia Media Forum has become an important platform for exchange and cooperation, as well as a bridge for promoting mutual understanding between the two peoples.
