The 10th Silk Road International Film Festival will be held in Fuzhou, capital of East China's Fujian province, from Sept 23 to 27, with the opening and closing ceremonies taking place in Fuzhou's Minyue River Town.
This year marks the 10th anniversary of the concept of building a community with a shared future for humanity, the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI), and the Silk Road International Film Festival.
Committed to "Sharing Silk Road Stories in Collaboration with Partners from across the Globe", the film festival will focus on summarizing the achievements of the Silk Road International Film Festival in promoting the film exchanges among countries and regions involved in the BRI in the past 10 years.
Nine main activities will be held, including the Golden Silk Road Awards, opening ceremony, film exhibition, film forum, film market, and more. Nearly 400 guests from home and abroad have been invited, and more than 1,000 films from 51 countries and regions were entered into the Main Competition and Film Panorama.
In addition, the international jury of the Golden Silk Road Award includes Chinese actors Donnie Yen and Mei Ting, director Huo Jianqi and photography director Mu Deyuan, as well as Russian director Sergey Dvortsevoy, Philippine director Khavn and American animation director Dalton Evonne Grant Jr, with Donnie Yen as the chairman of the jury.
