China announced a delegation of 1,329 members, including 30 from Wuxi, East China's Jiangsu province, for the upcoming Hangzhou Asian Games on Sept 12.
The 30 Wuxi members include four coaches, four staff members, and 22 athletes for basketball, boxing, judo, equestrian events, athletics, baseball, softball, Go, chess, taekwondo, tennis, and fencing.
The 19th Asian Games will take place in Hangzhou, East China's Zhejiang province from Sept 23 to Oct 8, during which Wuxi athletes will compete in 17 events of 10 disciplines.

Among the enrolled athletes female boxer Xu Zichun, female judoist Cai Qi, female basketball players Ji Weina and Luo Xin, equestrian athletes Bao Yingfeng and Sun Huadong, and board game players Yu Zhiying and Wei Yi have a shot at winning gold medals.
Jin Weina got a second at the FIBA Women's Basketball World Cup 2022 and claimed the championship at the FIBA Women's Basketball Asia Cup 2023 with her teammate Luo Xinyu.

Wei Yi, born in 1999, is an International Grandmaster of Chess and became the youngest chess player with an FIDE rating exceeding 2,700 in 2015. Wei was also the champion of the World Team Chess Championship in 2015 and 2017.
Liu Yuxuan finished seventh at the 2022 FIBA 3x3 World Cup and has won first place at the FIBA 3x3 Masters multiple times.
