The Fifth Zhuhai International Mozart Competition for Young Musicians held its opening concert on Sept 8 at the Huafa & CPAA Grand Theater in Zhuhai, gathering musicians, educators, and young performers from all over the world.
Jointly organized by the Zhuhai Municipal People's Government and the 'Mozarteum' University of Music and Performing Art in Salzburg, Austria, the competition was hosted by Huafa Group.

As an international youth musical event, the Zhuhai International Mozart Competition for Young Musicians provides a broad stage for young classical music enthusiasts worldwide. After eight years of cultivation, the event has gained significant attention due to its high professionalism and wide influence.
This year's competition brought together 127 young pianists and violinists from 21 countries and regions around the world. It also gathered experts and scholars from prestigious conservatories such as the ‘Mozarteum' University of Music and Performing Arts of Salzburg, the Royal College of Music in the United Kingdom, the Central Conservatory of Music in Beijing, and the Shanghai Conservatory of Music.
Of note, this year's music week will follow a "music + city" model, featuring 32 indoor concerts at the Huafa & CPAA Grand Theater as well as various activities such as concerts, master classes, and cultural exchange meetings in multiple public spaces throughout the city.
