The China (Xiamen) International Technology Expo for Public/State Security and Legal Affairs 2023 is serving up a visual feast of public security technologies.

Taking place from Friday to Monday in conjunction with the 23rd China International Fair for Investment and Trade, the expo is the first of its kind in China, providing attendees with fascinating insights into everything from police equipment and public safety models to video imaging authentication workstations.

With the theme of embracing new technology and empowering new security, organizers said the expo focuses on the applications of artificial intelligence, blockchain and big data in the fields of policing, future security and intelligent legal services. By demonstrating the latest cutting-edge technological achievements and development trends, the event also promotes technical exchanges and cooperation in related industries.

The expo has set up one thematic exhibition for scenarios and another for industry chains, displaying the latest technologies and offering visitors an immersive experience. Businesses such as Huawei, Anicert, China Mobile, Broadton and Leelen are demonstrating their latest technologies.

Exhibitor Meiya Pico brings its latest product, dubbed "Tianqing", as the first large-scale model to serve public security in China.

It possesses rich knowledge in the public security industry, with strong capabilities in police intention recognition, case reasoning and other business understanding and reasoning abilities, said Wu Yunjuan, general manager at the brand center.

"It can continuously self-evolve from massive data, achieving a closed-loop evolution of industry knowledge, business problems, and feedback resolution," Wu added. "The expo provides a platform for showcasing and exchanging domestic and international police and legal technology products and technologies, as well as an opportunity for researchers and practitioners in related fields to communicate and learn from each other.

"By showcasing Meiya's latest products and technologies at the expo, we also hope to have the opportunity to exchange ideas with professionals from various places, share practical experiences and research achievements, establish connections with domestic and international counterparts and carry out cooperation to further promote the development and application of police and legal technology."

As part of the efforts to expand the influence of the Maritime Silk Road Central Legal District and Xiamen's police and security legal technology industry, the expo has invited officials, experts and industry insiders to visit the exhibitions and conduct exchanges.

Other supported events taking place include an AI technology innovation forum on security and forums featuring policing digital transformation and legal technology innovation, gathering business representatives of the industrial chain and experts to discuss and seek a new future for the development of the police and security legal technology industry.
