The 12th China (Guizhou) International Alcoholic Beverages Expo is underway in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, on Sept 9-12.
Since 2011, the expo has witnessed 12 years of development, with its popularity and influence increasing every year. It has become a nationally renowned event in the alcoholic beverage industry.
Under the theme "a collection of world-class alcoholic beverages provides an enjoyable life," this year's expo attracted nearly 1,600 exhibitors from 23 countries and regions, reaching a record-breaking scale.
In addition to the opening ceremony and government activities, the expo will also host nearly 20 activities, such as forums, business meetings, alcoholic beverage promotion activities and shopping festivals. These activities cover the production, distribution, consumption, R&D and finance of the alcohol and related industries.
Archil Kalandia, Georgian Ambassador to China, stated at the opening ceremony that the Georgian Embassy in China attaches great importance to bilateral partnerships between regions and cities of both countries.
The governors of Imereti Region and Guizhou province signed a cooperation agreement on Sept 8. As both areas have a rich history and beautiful landscapes, Kalandia hopes that Imereti and Guizhou can engage in multifaceted cooperation, and looks forward to the visit of Guizhou's government officials to Imereti in the near future.
