Xylem, a United States-based water technology provider, transitioned from a newcomer at the 2nd China International Import Expo (CIIE) to a regular participant, debuting products at each subsequent edition.

As a beneficiary of China's reform and opening-up policy, Xylem has participated in major water infrastructure projects across China, including a number of landmarks in Shanghai, the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge and the South-to-North Water Diversion Project.

Xylem participated in the CIIE for the first time in 2019. Impressed by CIIE's focus on imports and the high-level attendees, Xylem booked for the 3rd CIIE before the 2nd edition even ended. Despite the pandemic in 2020, Xylem engineers built prototypes to ensure global debuts, demonstrating Xylem's commitment.

After attending multiple times, Xylem values the CIIE platform more and more. At the 4th CIIE, the company signed an agreement with Zhejiang University to establish a joint laboratory. At the 5th CIIE, they launched their first co-developed product, already deployed in Zhejiang.

Xylem has greatly benefited from China's reforms and favorable business climate. "China has become Xylem's second-largest single market, holding a crucial position in our global landscape. As the sixth CIIE approaches, we are confident the national platform will continually empower brands and expand markets, allowing us to further deepen Xylem's presence in China," said Lu Shuping, President of Xylem China and Asia.
