Registration for the 2023 Suzhou Taihu Lake Marathon, which will be held in Suzhou New District, East China's Jiangsu province, on Oct 22, will be open until 5 pm on Sept 22.
The running event will solicit 23,000 runners, including 6,000 runners for the full marathon, 12,000 for the half marathon, and 5,000 for the mini marathon. The participants will be announced on Sept 28.

Starting from the district's Shishan Road, the race course for the full marathon is expected to pass by Baimajian Longchi Scenic Spot, the district's ecological "green lung", Dayangshan National Forest Park, which boasts the highest forest density in China, and Suzhou Science and Technology City, and then run along the Taihu Lake, one of the country's largest freshwater lakes, and end at the Suzhou New District Cultural and Sports Center. This year, participants will run through the Suzhou Campus of Nanjing University.
Organizers of the Suzhou marathon will continue offering participants services related to catering, accommodation, and transportation this year.
Two days before the marathon and on the day of the event, participants and their accompanying relatives and friends will enjoy free or discounted tickets to local scenic spots, including Suzhou Amusement Land Forest World, Dayangshan National Forest Park, and Baimajian Longchi Scenic Spot.
