In the late 1950s, due to the high-quality stone resources, Wuhan Cement Factory established a stone quarry in Lingshan Mountain. Over 30 years ago, Lingshan Mountain became a gathering place for more than 20 stone quarries, with most villagers relying on quarrying for their livelihoods, turning it into a "gray mountain." In 2019, Lingshan Mountain initiated a mountain ecological restoration project, and after careful management, it came to life, covered with lush flowers and plants everywhere.

Wang Qingshan, a resident of Linqiao Village in Jiangxia district, Wuhan, personally witnessed the transformation of Lingshan Mountain. It evolved from an abandoned quarry filled with scattered rocks into what can now be called Wuhan's version of "Daocheng Yading."

Formerly a mere observer and firsthand participant in ecological conservation, Wang Qingshan has since evolved into both a dedicated practitioner and fortunate beneficiary of environmental protection. Join us as he recounts the captivating journey of Lingshan Mountain.
