The largest artificial intelligence (AI) art exhibition in Central China officially kicked off in the East Lake High-tech Development Zone (also known as Optics Valley of China, or OVC), on Sept 1.
The first-ever technological new city portrait – OVC's 10 Iconic Sceneries – has been released using large-scale neural network training. Meanwhile, an AI-designed fashion show also debuted.
The administrative committee of the valley held the exhibition, and will last until Oct 7. Citizens can make free reservations to visit the exhibition through the WeChat applet.
The AI system utilized its advanced technology to create an impressive ink painting of the 10 iconic sceneries of OVC in just 40 days. Through analyzing the techniques of famous ink painting masters from the Tang Dynasty (618-907) and Song Dynasty (960-1279), it was able to produce a stunning work of art measuring approximately six meters in length. The painting features over 10 landmarks of OVC, including the distinct calla lily-shaped building and the Optics Valley Square.
The AI-designed fashion show, inspired by hundreds of images of Jupiter, was presented by 12 models.

Since the preview on Aug 19, the exhibition has become the largest of its kind in Central China, with the most exhibits being displayed. The exhibited works cover various forms, including images, videos, data, and installation art, providing a vivid record of the development of the valley's booming AI industry.
