Shanxi in North China has achieved significant results in the development of its general aviation industry in recent years.
The province has built seven airports, a general aviation aircraft research and development center, and established Shanxi General Aviation Polytechnic.
The provincial capital of Taiyuan has also been approved as a national-level civil unmanned aerial vehicle test zone.
Shanxi has been optimizing short-distance air transportation routes, developing low-altitude air tourism, and expanding the application of general aviation for the police, emergency rescues, and agricultural aerial seeding.
Its businesses operating in aviation sports, artificial weather modification, and aviation mapping wield much influence in China.
To further boost its aviation industry, Shanxi plans to develop consumer-oriented activities, and coordinate resources to build a public service network for general aviation.
Efforts will be made to strengthen the construction of related infrastructure including airports and flight service stations, and to optimize the flight service support system.
Shanxi will further boost its general aviation manufacturing industry, support the construction of the Taiyuan civil unmanned aerial vehicle test zone and Datong general aviation demonstration city, as well as build related industrial parks, theme towns, and aviation technology innovation platforms.
In addition, the province will enhance the level and scale of the Taiyuan International General Aviation Expo, conduct scientific education on general aviation, increase aviation sports events and services, and promote general aviation culture.
