The Meihu Opera piece The Village Official Shanhua pleased the audience at the Ninth China National Small-Scale Opera and Sketch Exhibition in Xi’an, Shaanxi province, on Sept 4.
An example of national intangible cultural heritage, the Meihu Opera has been passed on in regions such as Shaanxi, Shanxi, Gansu and Ningxia.
