Jinan, capital of East China's Shandong province, signed agreements for seven major projects at the 2023 Green, Low-carbon, and High-quality Development Conference, which was held in Yantai from Aug 29 to 30.
The seven projects had a total investment of 44.07 billion yuan ($6.06 billion).
Among these projects is CV Navi's Beidou intelligent terminal and sensor production base project. Located in Jinan, the project is expected to produce 2 million intelligent terminals and sensor products for automobiles every year.
The construction waste management project in Zhangqiu district, Jinan was also among the seven major projects. This project will feature urban solid waste resource utilization technology and process 1 million metric tons of demolition waste, 800,000 tons of construction waste, 30,000 tons of bulky waste, and 30,000 tons of garden waste every year.
During the conference, Jinan promoted 217 high-quality projects, including BYD's new energy passenger vehicle and parts industrial park, and the second phase of the space information industry base project by Jigang Defense Technology. These 217 projects represent a combined investment of about 430 billion yuan and are related to the fields of new generation information technology, advanced equipment manufacturing, new energy and new materials, quality tourism, and biopharmaceuticals.
Jinan also showcased its achievements in smart manufacturing, advanced equipment, biopharmaceuticals, new energy and new materials, and modern agriculture during the conference.
