2023 features exponential growth of large AI models, and Wuhan Supercomputing Center and Wuhan Artificial Intelligence (AI) Computing Center, as the city's crucial public computing infrastructure, jointly released the Wuhan AI model incentive plan, inviting local enterprises, universities, and research institutions to participate in the building of large universal and industrial AI models.
The plan was issued under the guidance of the Wuhan science and technology bureau, and the sci-tech innovation and new economy development bureau of the East Lake High-tech Development Zone (also known as Optics Valley of China, or OVC).
Business partners of the plan are granted computing power support (Ascend 910 and NVIDIA A100), technical assistance of AI technology engineers and related staff member training, assistance and application of AI-related theses and projects, and recommendation of professional engineer recruitment, among others.
