A group of journalists from Kunsan, South Korea, paid a visit to Yantai from Aug 27 to 29 to learn about the city's low-carbon and green development.
Yantai established sister-city ties with Kunsan in 1994, and since then, the two cities have carried out fruitful exchanges and cooperation in economy, trade, culture, art, education and other fields, laying a solid foundation for the long-term development of friendly relations between the two cities.
During the three-day event, the media group visited various places in Yantai to experience the beautiful scenery and high-quality development of the coastal city.
A Korean-language social media account dedicated to promoting Yantai was launched, promoting the city to more people in South Korea.
Kunsan is the first South Korean city to form a friendship with Yantai and remains one of Yantai's strongest partners to this day.
During the three-day event, the visiting South Korean journalists recorded the pulse of Yantai's development and noted that Yantai's new industries and advanced technology have prepared it for green, low-carbon, and high-quality development. They said that they would share what they saw, heard and felt during the trip with people in their home country.
