Hohhot Customs has implemented 10 convenient measures to ensure smooth customs clearance for businessmen and exhibits during the fourth China-Mongolia Expo. These measures cover the entire process before, during, and after the expo, including exhibition registration, clearance, and post-exhibition disposal.
Before the China-Mongolia Expo, Hohhot Customs provided a pre-audit service for the exhibit list, reviewing the list provided by Mongolia in advance. This facilitates early preparation and smooth customs clearance for exhibitors and agents.
During the expo, Hohhot Customs established a working group of experienced staff members to provide customs clearance, supervision, and consulting services. Customs policy handbooks are distributed on-site, providing detailed customs clearance guidance to exhibitors.
To address the high-level status of the VIPs attending the China-Mongolia Expo, the large number of inbound exhibits, and the requirement for efficient customs clearance, Hohhot Customs has established dedicated channels for "inbound exhibits" and "inbound/outbound personnel" in major port supervision areas, implementing a 24-hour reservation system for customs clearance. Inbound and outbound exhibit declarations are processed using an integrated customs clearance model and a two-step declaration clearance model.
Customs declarations related to the China-Mongolia Expo receive priority review for customs procedures such as inspection, sampling, and testing, utilizing a "release upon inspection" approach.
Furthermore, in line with the tax preferential policies for imported exhibits sold during international exhibitions in the central and western regions during the 14th Five-Year Plan period (2021-25), tax benefits are provided for imported exhibits sold within the tax-free sales limit during the China-Mongolia Expo.
These measures introduced by Hohhot Customs aim to ensure the smooth operation of the China-Mongolia Expo and enhance trade facilitation between the two countries.
