The 2023 China-ASEAN Education Cooperation Week opened in Guian New Area, Southwest China's Guizhou province, on Aug 29.
The event, with the tagline "New vision for education cooperation, common prosperity for Belt and Road", will host 122 activities, including 65 during its opening period and 57 throughout the year.
The activities are expected to deepen exchanges and promote practical cooperation between China and ASEAN countries.
This year's exchange week will focus on deepening China-ASEAN digital education cooperation, pushing forward cooperation with high-level universities at home and abroad, deepening vocational education cooperation, promoting Guizhou's bridges to attract more tourists to the province, promoting cultural exchanges among Chinese and international teenagers, and further deepening strategic cooperation with related departments of the Ministry of Education.
During the opening period, efforts will be made to establish five research centers, seven cooperative alliances, and five cooperative centers.
In addition, a total of 17 cooperative achievements and joint projects will be announced, and five academic paper collections will be produced. Over 50 cooperation agreements and memorandums of understanding are expected to be signed.
