Rami Khalil, an Armenian who has lived in China for over a decade, is amazed by the accessibility of the country's transport network. While enjoying the convenience, he sometimes wondered whether all the public transportation facilities were necessary.
His curiosity eventually prompted him to visit a transport planning expert in Chongqing, to a small Sichuan county where people are expecting high-speed rail traffic, and to a construction site on the outskirts of Chongqing, where workers are working to connect the railway.
