This year's first job fair targeting university graduates was held on Aug 18 in Jinan's Zhangqiu district, with 200 companies and over 2,300 graduates in attendance.
Some 200 companies joined the fair. They offered 700 kinds of positions and required over 5,000 new hires in total.
The fair also set up a livestreaming room on the short-video platform Douyin, attracting more than 84,000 views across the country.
A policy advocacy section was also established at the job fair, with authorities offering useful interpretations on local preferential policies and digital platforms on employment and entrepreneurship for university graduates.
Looking ahead, the local government in Jinan will continue to improve its platform serving graduates, with efforts focusing on the accurate delivery of information about jobs, entrepreneurship counseling, skills training, and new apprenticeships.
