A number of deals were reached, with contracts signed between: the Baotou bureau of science and technology and the Science and Technology Development Institute of Beijing University of Technology; the Beijing-Inner Mongolian High-tech Incubator and the China Electronics Feiteng Silicon Industry Ecological Empowerment Center; the Hondlon district government and China Hydrogen Energy Technology Co; as well as the Tumd Right Banner government and Beijing Fine&Clean Technology Co.
The Baotou-Beijing Sci-tech Innovation Base is a new hub set up by Baotou in Beijing to gather sci-tech innovation resources, introduce high-quality projects, and attract high-end talents. It is a key carrier for implementing the "Increasing Sci-tech Innovation Plan" of Beijing-Inner Mongolia Cooperation, and an important platform for deepening the strategic cooperation between Beijing and Baotou.
After the base is launched and fully operational, it will focus on helping to establish the "world's green silicon city" and "world rare earth city", as well as five new industrial clusters – including onshore wind power equipment, advanced metal materials, carbon fiber and polymer materials, new energy heavy trucks and supporting facilities, and hydrogen energy storage.
The base will cultivate sci-tech innovation enterprises that show high potential, introduce more high-end talents, and attract major industrial projects to play leading roles in the area’s development.
