Guizhou's first branded products fair kicks off in Guiyang

The first Guizhou Branded Products Fair and Summer Carnival were launched in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, on Aug 18.

Over 330 companies participated in the fair on-site, displaying around 1,600 kinds of products.

The event featured both main and sub-venues. The main venue in Guiyang hosted a series of activities including the Guizhou Branded Products Fair, Nighttime Consumption Festival, Summer Music Festival, E-commerce Livestreaming Festival, and a model competition.

The sub-venues, located in different cities and prefectures, held a variety of summer consumption promotion events.

The Guizhou Branded Products Fair consisted of an exhibition and a market. The exhibition showcased Guizhou's banded products such as famous baijiu, famous tea, pre-made dishes, time-honored brands, intangible cultural heritage products, creative products, and ecological specialties, allowing people to fully experience the distinctive commodities from Guizhou's nine cities and prefectures.

The event aimed to promote the consumption of bulk goods, household products, new types of consumption, innovation and upgrading of new consumer formats as well as cooperation between Guizhou's nine cities and prefectures.

Long Cong, deputy mayor of Guiyang, said that Guiyang showcased more than 200 outstanding Guiyang-made products, refined products, and new products alongside over 200 high-quality imported goods at the fair.

This allowed the best products from across the province to compete on the same stage, presenting the unique charm of "Colorful Guizhou" and "Cool Guiyang."

During the fair, Guiyang will hold a Guiyang-made consumer goods promotion event focusing on new energy, smart home appliances, digital products, green food, specialty food, and health products, as well as an import-export trade fair.
