Jinan currently operates four international cargo flight routes linking the city with New York in the United States, London in the United Kingdom, Liege in Belgium, and Tel Aviv in Israel.
These international cargo flights transport goods such as clothing and electronics from around China to destinations around the world and bring back unique foreign goods.

In 2022, Jinan Yaoqiang International Airport achieved an international cargo and mail throughput of 55,400 tons, accounting for 40.23 percent of the airport's total cargo and mail throughput.
