The 22nd China Changchun International Agriculture and Food Expo kicked off in Changchun, capital city of Northeast China's Jilin province, on Aug 18, lasting 10 days.
The crop exhibition area has patches of corn, sorghum, rice, sunflowers, millet, miscellaneous grains, and beans, showcasing abundant food crops. Rows of melons, baby pumpkins, peppers, eggplants, and other vegetable varieties are also on display, highlighting the bountiful harvest and economic benefits of suitable and high-nutrition crops for the northern region.
The giant pumpkin and watermelon gardens can be regarded as one of the most anticipated exhibition areas every year, attracting many tourists who come specifically to take photos. These adorable and tremendous pumpkins and watermelons have won the favor of numerous visitors. This year, technicians innovatively bred four giant pumpkins and six varieties of large watermelons.
The expo, which began in 2000, has been held 21 times and is now a significant event in China's agricultural industry. Its goal is to promote agricultural accomplishments, spur technological advancements, and facilitate trade exchanges.
It showcases various agricultural products and shares the latest advancements in farming techniques and high-tech agricultural achievements. This expo will further enhance the agricultural and food industries in Changchun and promote the development of the agricultural sector in China.
