The Yantai (Singapore) Culture and Tourism Promotion Conference was held in Singapore from July 31 to Aug 3.
It aimed to promote Yantai's culture and tourism products, and also presented the city's industrial development to investors from Singapore.
Starting from July 26, the Chinese government resumed its 15-day visa-free policy for Singaporean citizens. This allows Singaporean citizens that hold ordinary passports to enter China for business, tourism, family visit and transit purposes.
The National Association of Travel Agents in Singapore has signed a cooperative agreement with Yantai. The association stated that it will organize an inbound tour group to Yantai on Aug 23.
During the promotion activity, Yantai highlighted its rich cultural and tourism resources to the local public. The Yantai delegation also expressed its wish for deeper friendship and cooperation across various fields.
Yantai's tourism promotion initiatives and investment projects were well-received among Singaporean organizations. Yantai and Singapore will continue to deepen cooperation in order to explore more development opportunities, especially in the fast-growing wine tourism industry.
