The Inner Mongolia autonomous region has recently published the initial roster of intangible cultural heritage villages and blocks at the autonomous regional level. Among the selected areas are two villages and two blocks located in Baotou.
Relying on Baotou paper-cutting, nuclear carving, dough sculpture, and other 12 intangible cultural heritage representative projects, Dongdagou village in Baotou has an art district experience center, intangible cultural heritage street, paper-cutting studio, and other places. This location has transformed into a versatile venue that integrates various functions such as exhibitions, interactive engagements, educational talks, and investigative studies.
Shuanglong town displays intangible cultural heritage and farming culture in several cultural venues. In 2022, Shuanglong Village was named the sixth batch of Chinese traditional villages in the town.
The Golden Street of Baotou is a remarkable destination that presents the historical city of Baotou in a unique way. It is a hub for merchants who offer visitors an opportunity to experience intangible cultural heritage projects such as paper-cutting and pillow-making skills. This year, it has rightfully earned its place as a national tourism and leisure block.
