East China's Shanghai is gearing up to host an extremely important technology event, called the 2023 INCLUSION·Conference on the Bund.
It's scheduled to run on Sept 7-9 at Shanghai Expo Park – located in the city's Pudong district – under the theme of Technology for a Sustainable Future.
The conference will include a main forum, 36 insight forums, an 8,000-square-meter technology exhibition and a 3,000 sq m creative marketplace.
Since its inception in 2020, the INCLUSION·Conference on the Bund has reflected Shanghai's financial technological innovation and has also provided a significant window to observe the new round of tech and industrial transformations across the world.
The organizers say the conference focuses on addressing challenges arising from technological development – such as balancing business efficiency with inclusivity, safeguarding privacy while upholding public values and considering current developments alongside a sustainable future.
This year's main forum will invite domestic and international guests in the fields of technology and the humanities to share industry thinking and practices.
Discussions will cover cutting-edge topics – including human-machine intelligence, distributed databases and Web 3.0, among others. Moreover, the 36 insight forums will gather leading global experts and academics who will share their insights.
Beyond the discussions, the technology exhibition is aiming to provide an immersive and scenario-based environment for visitors to explore new possibilities in cities, industries and life under the influence of digital technology.
Visitors are expected to also enjoy an interactive experience in the creative marketplace, where the organizers will seek to present an inspiring vision of the modern city and nature driven by green technology.
