Tai'an in Shandong province has been included in the third batch of "15-minute radius community life circle" pilot cities that will be constructed, the Ministry of Commerce announced recently.
The "15-min radius community life circle" refers to a community-based commercial circle in which daily necessities and essential lifestyle services are located within a 15-minute walk of all residents.
To date, Tai'an has 10 such circles comprising 3,500 outlets that serve 250,000 residents.
The municipal bureau of commerce said it will continue to promote the construction of "15-min circle" zones to raise the quality of living for its residents and bolster employment.
