On Aug 8, the world's largest aviation tire science center was unveiled in Guangzhou's Huangpu district.
The center is dedicated to solving critical technical problems related to aviation tires and landing systems, aimed at breaking China's reliance on foreign products in the aviation tire sector.
The striking architectural feature of the center is its aviation tire dynamics facility, which is designed in the shape of two gigantic tires, one horizontal and one vertical. It is hailed as the "largest tire structure on earth."
It has mastered 41 core technologies and achieved several breakthroughs in innovative technologies, such as biomimetic synthetic rubber and digital tire industrial software.
With over 1,000 research institutions scattered across the district, Huangpu is leading in innovation and research development.
The unveiling of this center marks a significant step towards becoming a world-class high-tech park, underscoring the region's continuous rise in scientific and technological strength.
