The income of urban and rural residents in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, steadily rebounded in the first half of this year.

The per capita disposable income of urban residents was 25,314 yuan ($3,511), a year-on-year increase of 4.3 percent, while the per capita disposable income of rural residents increased 7.7 percent to 11,270 yuan.

While the growth rate for Guiyang's per capita disposable income for rural residents was lower than the provincial average, its actual value of 11,270 yuan is 4,814 yuan higher than the provincial average (6,456 yuan).
